Athena Starwoman (17 July 1945 – 16 December 2004) was a well-known Australian astrologer, columnist and television commentator.
Born in Melbourne, Victoria, her real name was kept secret from the public. Starwoman was credited with making astrology a popular practice and her columns appeared in Vogue, Woman's Day, and numerous other publications.
During her final years Starwoman divided her time between a luxury apartment at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast in Queensland and a US$3,000,000 apartment on the cruise liner The World, which she purchased after selling an apartment in New York's Trump Tower. Starwoman died on 16 December 2004 after a short battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband, human behavioral specialist and chiropractor John Demartini.
